Gillespie grabs 200th baseball win at UCI

DAVIS — The Anteaters’ season-ending Big West Conference win Sunday gave head coach Mike Gillespie his 200th win at UCI and he improved to 200-97 in five seasons.

Evan Brock pitched a season-high six innings and the UCI offense broke open for 10 runs. Brock improved to 2-1 after allowing just one run on three hits while striking out one.

D.J. Crumlich was three for five and scored three times, ending the season with 72 hits and 39 runs scored for the Anteaters (31-25, 13-11 in conference). Jordan Fox belted three doubles and drove in two runs, while Tommy Reyes also had two RBIs on two hits and a sacrifice fly. Jeff Stephens and Christian Ramirez each chipped in a RBI on two hits.

Davis finished 27-30, 12-12.
