Christian Martinez also had a pair of hits for UCI (28-21), which rallied from a 4-0 deficit but fell short.
Michael Wagner pitched three four shutout innings for No. 21 San Diego (39-13). Crosby Slaught the loss. He held San Diego to one hit and struck out two in two innings.
