Breakdown: The Sailors are making their third straight Pac-5 Division playoff appearance but have not won in the postseason since 2007 … That year, they beat Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks on the road before falling to Long Beach Poly, 35-14, in the second round … Poly went on to win CIF in both 2007 and 2008 … Newport Harbor Coach Jeff Brinkley said FB/LB Grant Frazier (foot) and junior WR/CB Kory Cablay (ankle) will likely play Friday … Both seniors missed last week’s Sunset League loss to Edison that dropped the Sailors to third in league … Long Beach Poly has won 10 Moore League titles and three CIF titles in Raul Lara’s 11 years as head coach.
