COSTA MESA — Karlee Riggs recorded 33 kills and Allison Lumsden amassed 64 assists to lead the Pirates to a 25-17, 23-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-8 Orange Empire Conference win Friday.
OCC (11-2, 6-1 in conference) is ranked No. 12 in the state and the Hornets (10-4, 4-3) are No. 7.
Morgan Link had 11 kills and Isabel Emrich added 10 kills for the Pirates.

IRVINE — Shaina Olsen had 19 kills to help the Anteaters to a 21-25, 25-19, 25-13, 30-28 Big West Conference win Friday.
Aly Squires had 13 kils and Kristin Winkler led UCI (8-11, 3-5 in conference) with 14 digs.

Titan Invitational
FULLERTON — Redshirt freshman Camille Maron was the top UC Irvine finisher at the Cal State Fullerton meet Friday.
Maron placed 44th of 139 runners with a time of 18 minutes, 49.8 seconds on the 5,000-meter campus course. Suzanne Cornwell of Cal State San Marcos was the individual winner in 17:01.7.
UCI’s Samia Sailinuu placed 48th in 19:01.8.
Cal State San Marcos won the team title with 22 points. UCI finished sixth with 170 points.

Titan Invitational
FULLERTON — Amir Shirif led UC Irvine at the Cal State Fullerton meet Friday.
Shirif finished 22nd of 128 runners with a time of 25:23.7 over the 8,000-meter course. Trevor Smith placed 51st in 26:16.
Sergy Sushchikh, competing unattached, won the race in 24:05.9.
UCI did not field a complete team in the invitational that was won by Cal State San Marcos with 18 points.
