COSTA MESA — Kyle O’Brien scored a goal and had two assists to help the Lions to a nonconference win Monday.

Andrew Sullivan added a goal and an assist and Sam Nicholson also scored a goal for Vanguard (3-2). Luis Valdivia also had an assist. Nicholson’s goal came in the 33rd minute that gave Vanguard a 3-0 lead. The Lions also scored off an own goal.

Southern Nazarene dropped to 1-4.
