Gordon falls in final

OJAI — Corona del Mar resident Henry Gordon lost to Aidan Jiang of Ojai, 6-0, 6-1, in the boys’ 14 singles final of the 111th annual Ojai Valley Junior Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Libbey Park.

Gordon was the No. 3-seeded player. Earlier Saturday, he upset top-seeded Garrett Mak of Arcadia, 6-2, 6-4, in a tournament semifinal.

Gordon is ranked No. 17 in Southern California by the United States Tennis Assn., while Mak is No. 7.

Jiang was unseeded in the tournament but did not lose a set on his way to the title.
