Laguna boys’ water polo places eighth at Santa Barbara Invitational

The Laguna Beach High boys’ water polo team went 1-3 in the Santa Barbara Invitational tournament over the weekend, ultimately earning an eighth-place finish.
The Breakers lost to Agoura, 10-9, in the seventh-place game. Sebastian Jacobs and Colton Gregory each scored three goals for Laguna in the loss.
Laguna (2-4) also beat Dana Hills, 10-2, in the opening game of the tournament behind five goals from Gregory. Jacobs scored twice, and Peter Weiland, Riley Bumgardner and James Nolan added goals. The Breakers then lost to Orange Lutheran, 19-6, and Santa Margarita, 11-6.
Laguna Beach plays at Orange Lutheran on Wednesday in a nonleague game at Santiago Canyon College.
