High School Roundup: CdM advances

BRENTWOOD — The Sea Kings swept all nine sets in doubles and earned one in singles to advance to the quarterfinals in the CIF Southern Section Divison 1 playoffs.

Seniors Kenzie Purciful and Kimmia Naaseh improved to 51-8 on the season winning 6-2, 6-0, 6-0. Jasie Dunk and Siena Sharf moved to 48-8 on the season winning 6-4, 6-0, 6-0. Taylor Fogarty and Erica Chen are 40-11 on the season, winning 6-4, 6-2, 6-0.

Junior Shelby Anderson playing No. 3 singles defeated Brentwood’s No. 3, 6-2.

CdM, the No. 4 seed, plays host to Santa Barbara on Monday at noon.

CdM defeated Santa Barbara, 10-8, on Oct. 19 at Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara defeated Palos Verdes, 12-6, in its second-round match.

ARCADIA — Jaclyn Gerschultz took took two of three sets for the Lightning in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 second-round match Friday.

Amira Tarsadia and Celine Wang earned one win each in singles for for Sage Hill (9-6).
