Karly Freeman served up a hat trick along with an assist to lead the Pirates to the Orange Empire Conference win Friday at OCC.
Shelle Zito and Sandy Jimenez also scored for OCC (8-3-3, 6-3-2 in OEC), while Kamille Cawley contributed two assists.
Pirates goalie Emily Harrier made four saves.
Cypress is 7-5-2, 6-3-1.
OCC plays at Santa Ana Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Titan Invitational
FULLERTON — Senior Nicole Mendoza was UC Irvine’s top finisher in Friday’s meet on the Cal State Fullerton campus.
Mendoza recorded a time of 18 minutes, 52.6 seconds over the 5,000-meter course to finish 35th of 95 runners.
UCI’s Katie Kass was 39th in 19:05.3, Mary Follo placed 40th in 19:05.8 and Lauren Hall finished 54th with a time of 19:25.8.
Pearl Law placed 61st (19:46.7), Courtney Sharar 68th (20:06.0 and Aliya Shah 70th (20:17.2) to complete the Anteaters’ top seven.
Rosa Del Toro of SoCal Elite won the race in 17:15.9. UCI finished seventh in the team competition with 171 points as UCLA was first with 31.
The Anteaters compete in the Big West Conference Championships Nov. 2 at San Luis Obispo.

Titan Invitational
FULLERTON — Junior Alex Tebbe was UC Irvine’s top runner for the third time this season as he led the ‘Eaters Friday.
Tebbe covered the 8,000-meter course in 26:15.9 to finish 48th on the Cal State Fullerton campus.
Riley Martin placed 50th in 26:16.6 and Jake Williams was 57th with a time of 26:36.2.
Isaiah Thompson finished 60th in 26:37.2, Nolan Del Valle 61st (26:37.4), Conor Stanton 62nd (26:37.7) and Amir Shirif 63rd (26:37.8).
Forest Brandon from SoCal Elite was race champion with a time of 23:55.1.
UCI placed sixth as a team with 147 points as SoCal Elite won the meet with 20 points.
The ‘Eaters travel to San Luis Obispo Nov. 2 for the Big West Conference Championships.

MEN’S WATER POLO
UCLA 18, UC Irvine 5
No. 2-ranked UCLA built a 10-3 halftime lead and had seven players with at least two goals each in defeating the No. 8 Anteaters in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game at Anteater Aquatics Complex Friday night.
Aimone Barbabino scored a game-high three goals for the Bruins (20-2, 1-1 in the MPSF).
Freshman Kyle Trush led UCI (11-8, 0-3) with a pair of goals, while Jacob Mourer, Mitch Wise and Lawrence Bardelli also scored.
Lucas Reynolds, a Corona del Mar High product, and Newport Beach native Anthony Daboub scored two goals each for UCLA.
UCI plays at UC Santa Barbara Nov. 2 at noon.
