Charlie Griffin, Kyle Hastings and Sterling Gates swept at Nos. 1-3 singles, respectively, to lead the host Eagles in the Orange Coast League match Thursday.

Bjorn Hoffmann swept in singles, as did Carson Williams and Jonathan Rhone in doubles for the host Sea Kings in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League match.
The score was tied 6-6 in sets and 50-50 in games after two rounds. Hoffmann and Ryan Andrews won in singles in the third round, and the doubles teams of Williams and Rhone, as well as Samee Abobukare and Tyler Gaede, also won to clinch the match for CdM ( 11-2, 5-1 in league).

IRVINE — CdM senior Giovanni Gentosi was a double winner for the visiting Sea Kings in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League meet.
Gentosi won the shot put with a throw of 42 feet, 21/2 inches. He also captured the discus (139-3).
Spencer Keith won the 3,200-meter race in 9 minutes, 43 seconds for CdM and Alex Wilde won the high jump (5- 10).

Mustangs juniors and Anuare Magana and Elijah Blandford each won two events in Thursday’s Orange Coast League meet at Jim Scott Stadium.
Magana captured the 1,600 meters in 4 minutes, 36 seconds, and the 800 in 2:04.
Blandford won the 100 in 11.03, and the 200 in 23.6.

IRVINE — CdM sophomore Emma Kratzberg set a school record in the 100-meter hurdles in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League meet on the road.
Kratzberg finished in 15.25 seconds. The previous school record was 15.7, said Kratzberg’s mother, Yvette.
Lilly Schmidt won the 1,600 in 5:08 and Emily Glenn won the long jump (15-81/2 inches).
Riley Gerdau won the triple jump (32-10) and Amanda Cooper won the discus (103-1) for CdM.

Costa Mesa sophomore Paigie LaBare captured two sprint races in Thursday’s Orange Coast League meet at Jim Scott Stadium.
LaBare won the 100 meters in 12.46 seconds, and the 200 in 26.3.
Mesa senior Daysi Vazquez won the 1,600 in 5:45, and the 3,200 in 12:23.
