UC Irvine 81, Pepperdine 75

IRVINE — Mikah Maly-Karros and Jade Smith-Williams scored 24 and 21 points, respectively to lead the Anteaters to their fourth straight win Wednesday.

Kassandra McCalister added 12 points and Jazmyne White had 10 points for UCI (4-1), which last won four straight in February of 2006. The victory also snapped a 10-game losing streak against the Waves.

White and Maly-Karros grabbed eight rebounds each to lead the Anteaters to a 40-31 rebounding advantage over Pepperdine (4-4). Smith-Williams led UCI with six assists. She was 12 of 13 from the foul line, while Maly-Karros hit eight of 10 free throws.
