College Roundup: OCC clinches second in OEC

RIVERSIDE — The visiting Pirates rallied from a 3-0 deficit to clinch second place in the Orange Empire Conference on Tuesday.
Chris Carlson and Trent Woodward each went two for four and drove in two runs for OCC (28-7, 14-6 in conference).
Chad Thompson pitched six innings, allowing three hits and no earned runs, to improve to 3-0.
Jed Vandernaald worked the final three innings for his second save.
OCC closes out the regular season Thursday at home against Riverside (20-15, 12-8) at 2 p.m.
Santa Ana clinched the conference title.

Concordia 6, Vanguard 2
COSTA MESA — Jerry Peña and Jeremia Mejia both had one hit and one run batted in for the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference match Wednesday.
Vanguard (20-25, 14-19 in conference) finished with five hits. Concordia (27-17, 19-14) had 10 hits.
