High School Roundup: Laguna Beach girls’ volleyball falls to Foothill

Sophie Reavis had 23 kills and 23 digs, but the Laguna Beach girls’ volleyball team lost to visiting Foothill 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22 on Thursday in a nonleague match.

Natalia Hagopian had 42 assists and nine service aces for the Breakers, and Brooklyn Yelland added 18 kills and 22 digs.

Laguna Beach (6-4) plays host to Tesoro on Tuesday.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Woodbridge 12, Corona del Mar 6: Lauren Jones and Cate Montgomery won two doubles sets for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s nonleague match on the road.

Sara Miller and Sydnee Spirlin also won twice in doubles for CdM (1-1), while Coco Davis won the Sea Kings’ lone singles set.

CdM plays at San Clemente on Thursday.

GIRLS’ GOLF

Estancia 227, Pacifica Christian Orange County 233: Danielle Breitwieser shot a 10-over-par 39 to lead the Eagles on Thursday in a nonleague match at Newport Beach Golf Course.

Estancia (1-1) opens Orange Coast League play against Calvary Chapel at Costa Mesa Country Club on Wednesday.
