High School Roundup: Huntington Beach High girls’ soccer tops Edison in season opener
Emma Radzai scored twice as the Huntington Beach High School girls’ soccer team beat Edison 3-1 in a nonleague season opener Monday night at Huntington Beach High.
Liz Johnson scored the other goal for the Oilers. Reese Woodson tallied two assists, and Kyley Asheim also had an assist. Mack Stenstrom (three saves) and Riley Urquiza (four saves) split time in goal.
Ella Marcus scored for Edison, assisted by Jacque Peterson.
Huntington Beach plays at Marina on Thursday, while Edison hosts Westminster.

La Quinta 12, Estancia 6: The Eagles fell in a nonleague season opener Tuesday at home.
Estancia lost four tiebreaker sets, coach Mike Moorewood said.
