Pacifica Christian O.C.’s Ian Cross receives first-team All-Academy League honors in boys’ soccer

Freshman defender Ian Cross earned a spot on the All-Academy League first team for the Pacifica Christian Orange County High boys’ soccer team.

Senior midfielder Matthew Samson and senior striker Shane Rodecker were selected to the all-league second team for the Tritons, and sophomore defender Nathan Kutscher was an honorable mention.

Pacifica Christian went 1-14-1 overall and 0-5-1 in league play, finishing in last place.

Avalon senior midfielder Fernando Jimenez received the Academy League Player of the Year award. Avalon (7-9, 5-1) shared the league championship with Rowland Heights Southlands Christian (7-6-2, 5-1).
