High School Roundup: Ocean View baseball blanks Western

Caleb Hohman struck out eight and allowed one hit in six innings, and the Ocean View High baseball team earned a 13-0 Golden West League win over Western on Tuesday at home.
Hohman walked none for the Seahawks (5-6-1, 1-1 in league). He was also three for four at the plate, with a double and four runs batted in.
Shane Hoodman, Jimmy Legg and David Mayorga each had two hits for Ocean View.
GIRLS’ LACROSSE
Newport Harbor 11, Beckman 9: Olivia Gritzmacher had four goals for the Sailors in Tuesday’s nonleague road win.
Joelle Rothbard scored three goals and had five ground balls for Newport Harbor (4-2). Willa Rath made six saves.
Edison 18, Esperanza 8: Anna Beachner scored four goals for the Chargers in Tuesday’s nonleague road victory.
Blakely Malpass, Sidney Hoggard and Gwen Ontiveros each scored three goals for Edison (5-2).
BOYS’ LACROSSE
Newport Harbor 15, Tesoro 3: Aidan Goltz led the Sailors with five goals in Tuesday’s nonleague home match.
Newport Harbor improved to 3-1.
Huntington Beach 6, Segerstrom 5 (OT): The Oilers improved to 3-3 after winning Tuesday’s nonleague road match.
BOYS’ SWIMMING
Marina 141, Estancia 21: The visiting Vikings won all 11 events in Tuesday’s nonleague dual meet.
Marina improved to 4-0.
GIRLS’ SWIMMING
Marina 126, Estancia 43: The Vikings won nine events, improving to 2-2 after Tuesday’s nonleague dual meet on the road.
