Newport Beach Councilman Tony Petros donned a batman costume Monday night for “Pajama Storytime” at the Newport Beach Central Library.
The event was part of an ongoing series of special programming for National Library Week, which kicked off Sunday.
City Manager Dave Kiff and City Council members Ed Selich and Nancy Gardner were also scheduled to help with events during the week, as was a world-champion juggler, gardening expert and Trader Joe’s wine buyer, according to a news release.
The celebration will conclude with an ensemble performance from the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Central Library.
