Debutantes make their entrance
Las Madrinas, an affiliate group of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, honored local debutantes at its annual ball on Dec. 21.
Josephine Ann Jarecki, Catherine Stender Davidson, Claire Pauline Davis (pictured above) and Caroline Virginia-May Simmons, all have ties to Newport Beach.
More than 900 guests from around the Los Angeles area celebrated members of Las Madrinas at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The organization, founded in 1933, has raised money to complete eight major products at the hospital since 1988, including seven research endowments and a project on the Cardiovascular Floor.
Since 1939, the group has presented daughters of its members and supporters at the Las Madrinas Ball.
