Three people were injured in a two-car crash in Newport Beach over the weekend, police said.
A green Honda CRV was westbound on West Coast Highway at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday when the driver lost control of the vehicle and went over the raised center median and into oncoming traffic. The Honda collided head-on with a white BMW near the Arches Bridge, said Jennifer Manzella, spokeswoman for the Newport Beach Police Department.
A passenger in the BMW and the driver and a passenger in the Honda were transported to Western Medical Center and UCI Medical Center with serious but not life-threatening injuries, Manzella said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and no arrests were made.
