Vehicle catches on fire, spreads to two others

A vehicle fire in a UC Irvine parking structure that spread to two other vehicles Monday morning caused $33,000 in damages, an official said.
Orange County Fire Authority firefighters received a call at 6:11 a.m. of a vehicle fire and upon arriving at 6:17 a.m. found that the fire had spread, Division Chief Kris Concepcion said in an email.
No injuries were reported, he added. The three vehicles had $30,000 worth of damage, and the parking structure had $3,000 worth of damage.
Seven firefighters responded, Concepcion said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
