Suspect allegedly threatened to shoot police
Huntington Beach police arrested a man who allegedly threatened to shoot police when they arrived to serve him a warrant Monday.
Kevin Perry, 38, of Huntington Beach, was taken away from a home in the 20900 block of Mission Lane at 5:15 p.m. Monday. He was wanted for burglary and narcotics charges and a parole violation, according to police.
A police officer saw the suspect near a house on Mission Lane on Monday and pursued him when he fled, according to a department Facebook post.
Authorities said the warrant listed Perry as armed and dangerous, and the suspect claimed to have a firearm and threatened to shoot police as he hid in the rafters of a garage.
The streets around the Mission Lane home were closed from about 3 to 6 p.m.
