Firefighters knock down Talbert brush fire
Costa Mesa and Orange County Fire Authority firefighters put out a brush fire at Talbert Park, authorities said Wednesday.
The fire in the bluffs area of Talbert Park was reported at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Costa Mesa Fire Department. It consumed less than two acres, the department said.
Winds blew smoke into a nearby condominium complex at 19th Street and Balboa Boulevard, but no other incidents were reported, the department said.
A total of 28 firefighters and one command vehicle responded to the fire, with help from the OCFA helicopter and other OCFA personnel, according to the department.
No injuries were reported.
The OCFA is investigating the cause of the blaze.
