Storm water program focus of discussion
A Costa Mesa Historical Society presentation Sunday will discuss the county’s storm water program.
The free event begins at 2 p.m. at the Historical Society’s headquarters, 1870 Anaheim Ave., within Lions Park. It features guest speaker Brian Lochrie, a public affairs specialist whose clients include Poseidon Resources, which is planning a water desalination plant in Huntington Beach.
Lochrie, a Cal State Fullerton alumnus and Orange resident, will discuss ways residents can make a difference toward improving the quality of the county’s beaches, bays and creeks, according to the Historical Society.
The storm water program is a collaborative effort involving the county government, all 34 Orange County cities and the county’s flood control district.
