Sign up to attend 9/11 memorial gala

The 9/11 Memorial Committee is hosting a gala to raise money for a monument at Huntington Beach Civic Center.

There will be guests from New York who will share stories from 9/11. Amy Scruggs will perform custom 9/11 songs, and drums and bagpipes will open the ceremony, according to a news release.

The event will be 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa Grand Ballroom.
