Walk for Glennwood on Saturday

Get ready to walk it off — Glennwood House of Laguna Beach is hosting its Walk and Roll-A-Thon fundraiser at 10 a.m. Saturday starting at Main Beach.

Money raised from the event will go toward finishing construction of the Glennwood House, which will house 50 special needs adults later this year.

“This is the real push time to make this dream a reality,” Executive Director Shauna Bogert said in an email. “Once we are open, future fundraising will go toward an endowment to assist residents with rental costs.”

The goal of the Walk and Roll-A-Thon is for each participant to raise $500; however, any amount is welcomed.

Interested walkers should bring their donation forms and donations at the walk’s start, which is next to Hotel Laguna. The walk will begin on the south side of Main by the Main Beach playground, in the cobblestone area, and then follow the boardwalk to Coast Highway through Heisler Park to Divers Cove and back.
