Laguna Beach police report quieter Fourth of July
This Fourth of July was one of the quietest in years, according to Laguna Beach police.
There were no major incidents reported, Lt. Jason Kravetz said. Police had 229 calls for service as of 10 p.m. Wednesday, down from 293 last year.
There were five total arrests, four of which were DUIs, according to Kravetz, who also noted that figure was half of last year’s 12 arrests.
There were two traffic accidents, compared with seven in 2011.
