DUI checkpoint nets multiple arrests
Costa Mesa police made eight alcohol- and drug-related arrests at a DUI checkpoint over the weekend, police said.
The two-day checkpoint at Newport Boulevard and Flower Street, screened 298 cars, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department. Police also issued three citations and cited or arrested six people for driving without a license or driving with a revoked or suspended license, they said. One person was arrested for an outstanding warrant, police said.
