Man pleads not guilty to sexually soliciting girl online

A Santa Ana man pleaded not guilty Friday to attempting to start a sexual relationship with a police officers posing as a 13-year-old girl on Craigslist.
Oscar Zamora Pinedo, 35, is charged with one felony count each of contacting a minor with intent to commit a lewd act and arranging to meet a minor to commit a lewd act. He faces a maximum sentence of six years in state prison if convicted.
Pinedo is in custody on $100,000 bail and scheduled for pretrial Feb. 24 at West Justice Center in Westminster.
Huntington Beach detectives, posing on Craigslist as a 13-year-old girl, received lewd messages over a period of months from Pinedo, who was told repeatedly of the girl’s age, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.
Pinedo made arrangements to meet the girl with the intent of paying her to have sex with him and drove to Huntington Beach about 7:30 p.m. Jan. 4. He is accused of carrying several condoms and Viagra when he arrived at the location, where police arrested him.
