Costa Mesa police collecting prescription pills Saturday
The city of Costa Mesa is encouraging people with unused or unwanted prescription pills to drop them off at the Police Department on Saturday, the city announced Wednesday.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. residents will be able to drop off prescriptions at the Police Department’s front desk for proper disposal, according to a city news release.
The no-questions drop-off is preferred to throwing away or flushing unneeded prescriptions down the toilet, both of which can be hazardous, the release said.
For more information, call Sgt. Phil Myers at (714) 754-5074.
