Students on board for ‘South Pacific’
Corona del Mar High School is bringing the best of Broadway to Newport Beach with a show that will enchant romance junkies, musical enthusiasts and World War II buffs alike.
High school students will be performing Richard Rodgers’ and Oscar Hammerstein’s Pulitzer-prize winning musical “South Pacific” Friday and Saturday.
The school’s spring musical is directed by CdM drama teacher Ronald Martin and debuted April 28.
There are still two performances left, at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Loats Theater at Newport Harbor High School, 600 Irvine Ave., Newport Beach.
Tickets range from $10 to $15 and can be purchased at the door or online through a link on the school’s visual and performing arts page at https:cdm.nmusd.us.
