Mesa Verde Center undergoes changes

COSTA MESA — The site of a former Hollywood Video store, which before that was a Hamburger Hamlet diner, has undergone yet another transformation.
This time, instead of being reincarnated into another single-business storefront, the 7,600-square-foot property located in the Mesa Verde Center on Harbor Boulevard and Adams Avenue, has been remodeled into a three-tenant building, said Kathleen Green, marketing representative for the center.
The newly built glass, wood and concrete structure shares a parking lot with Vons, Fantastic Sams, Starbucks, Boston Market, Souplantation and other restaurants and retailers.
The fully remodeled building opened Aug. 1 with OC Eye Designs Optometry moving into the first tenant space of 2,800 square feet. Heading the practice is Dr. Alissa Wald, who has practiced in Costa Mesa since 1991.
A second space, at 3,500 square feet, will be occupied by Union Bank, which is expected to be open before the end of the year, according to Green.
The last space, 1,200 square feet, is still available for lease.
The total leasable space of the Mesa Verde Center, which is owned by the C.J. Segerstrom & Sons, LLC, is 125,000 square feet.
