A Huntington Beach man was arrested Sunday for allegedly threatening a repo man with a shotgun, officials said.
Robert Joseph Alarcon, 30, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and booked at the Huntington Beach Jail, Lt. Russell Reinhart said.
Alarcon allegedly became angry when the owner of a licensed repossession company came to collect his vehicle in the 16000 block of Brimhall Lane.
He is accused of loading a shotgun and pointing it at the other man before ordering him off his property.
The victim called the police about 5:55 p.m., and Alarcon was unarmed when they arrived. Police obtained a search warrant for his house and found the shotgun taken apart and hidden.
Alarcon hasn’t been charged by the Orange County district attorney’s office, according to records.
