Sixth man arrested in sting
Police on Wednesday arrested the sixth man in an online sting on suspicion of driving to Huntington Beach to have sex with a fictitious 13-year-old girl.
Whittier resident Gregory Aguirre, 53, was arrested on suspicion of attempted lewd conduct with a child, arranging a meeting place with a minor for lewd conduct, communicating with a minor, attempted oral copulation of a minor and disorderly conduct.
Aguirre is being held in the Huntington Beach Jail on $110,000 bail.
Aguirre began talking online to detectives posing as a 13-year-old girl, police said.
He tried to create a sexual relationship with the girl, despite being repeatedly told her age, police said.
Police arrested Aguirre at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday after they said he made a plan to meet the girl in Huntington Beach to have sex with her.
Officials wouldn’t release the website used or specifics as it is an ongoing investigation.
