Police seeking liquor store robber

Police are looking for an unknown man who robbed a liquor store at gunpoint Sunday.

The man is described as black, around 5-foot-9 and wearing a white sweat shirt, sunglasses and gloves, officials said.

The robber walked into Lows’ Liquor on Springdale Street with a black handgun and demanded money from a cashier around 9:30 a.m. Sunday. He was given the money and fled the liquor store on foot by jumping over a wall to a residential backyard.

Police were called to the scene, but couldn’t find the man after searching the area.
