Garage fire causes $75,000 in damages
Firefighters managed to contain and extinguish a residential fire in 20 minutes, but not before it left an estimated $75,000 in damages.
The Huntington Beach Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Caledonia Circle near Edwards Street and Talbert Avenue on Saturday morning, according to officials.
The firefighters quickly extinguished the fire in the attic area of the garage, while others checked the rest of the house. The fire was completely put out in 20 minutes, leaving only minor smoke and water damage in the house estimated at $75,000.
Investigators believe the fire was started by an electrical failure of a light or from wiring in the attic area of the garage. No one was injured during the incident.
