ARCADIA — Newport Harbor High junior Mark Sakioka finished second in the boys’ open division pole vault, clearing 14 feet, 3 inches Friday night.
Newport Harbor freshman Maggie Goodson finished eighth in the girls’ open division 3,200 meters in 11 minutes, 7.2 seconds.

OAHU, Hawaii — The Sailors beat Hawaii Baptist Academy, which is ranked No. 19 in the nation by ESPN Rise Friday night, 22-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-16.
Cody Caldwell (18 kills), Will Connelly (eight kills), Zack Martin (seven kills), Rusty Sary (six kills and nine digs) and Jackson Carmack (36 assists) contributed for Newport Harbor (7-6)
Caldwell had 11 kills Thursday against Punahou, which won, 25-14, 25-19, 25-21.
Carmack had 19 assists, while Austin Bagby and Connelly had four kills each.
Connor Curry had seven digs.

OAHU, Hawaii — Weston Nielsen had 10 kills, three blocks and two aces in a 25-16, 26-24, 25-22 win Thursday night.
Joey Booth and Spencer Haly (two blocks) had nine kills each. Parker Brown had 17 assists and three kills, while Nick Curci had 16 assists and two aces.
Keegan Jakosky had eight digs for the Sea Kings, who battled Punahou late Friday night.
