Dicterow to speak at club meeting

Steve Dicterow, former mayor of Laguna Beach and current board member and chairman of the Government Affairs Committee of the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce, will speak to the Laguna Beach Business Club at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hotel Laguna.

Dicterow will provide a brief overview of the activities of the Government Affairs Committee, which works to foster a favorable climate for business in Laguna Beach. Dicterow has been an attorney for more than 30 years, and from 1994 to 2006 he served on the Laguna Beach City Council, including three terms as mayor. For the last 10 years he has been the owner of International Racers Inc., which manages professional motorcycle racers.

Joint Chamber mixer on Endeavor

The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce is participating in a joint mixer with sister chamber members from Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa and Fountain Valley from 5 to 8 p.m. April 28 aboard the Endeavor in Newport Harbor.

Boarding takes place at American Yacht Charters, 2901 W. Coast Hwy., Newport Beach.
