City launches iPhone application
The city has unveiled a Huntington Beach iPhone application to allow residents to stay connected with the city everywhere they go.
The free application, Surf City Pipeline, allows users to alert staff to issues with graffiti, beach maintenance, illegal dumping or signs, abandoned vehicles, dead or overgrown vegetation and nuisance property.
Residents can report the problem, submit comments, and the phone’s GPS and camera sends a photo and the location of the incident to city staff.
Users will receive a tracking number and can follow the incident’s progress on their iPhone.
