The Crowd:

Jewelry and cocktails are a dangerous elixir indeed. The crowd descended on the David Yurman Boutique in South Coast Plaza to enjoy both on behalf of the Camino Health Center. The San Juan Capistrano center is a community health clinic serving the uninsured citizens of South Orange County by providing them with affordable primary medical and dental care.

The evening showcased the full line of Yurman creations from his signature jewelry to eyewear, watches and perfume. A portion of the party proceeds were donated to the Camino Health Center.

Some 80 enthusiastic members of the Center Stage Guild, which supports the Orange County Performing Arts Center, came together to celebrate the Super Bowl. The football party was hosted by Center Stage and unfolded at the Huntington Beach residence of member Hallie Whelen. It raised $3,500 for the center.

Joining Whelen were event coordinators, including Lynn Baker, Barbara Biniasz, Louise Costa, Margie Lord and Kathy Reich. The crowd enjoyed plenty of football fare, from hamburgers to quesadillas and everything in between. Spotted in the crowd were Margaret Ann Vincent, Linda Dette, Marykay Shelton, Susie Pendleton, Ed Cady, Tom Lemire, Carol Hurst, Ilana Richmond, and Lynn and Larry Strong.
