Police arrest suspect in car fire

Police said they’ve found the man who torched an Orange County Sheriff’s Department squad car last month.
About 7:50 a.m. Saturday, Costa Mesa police arrested Gabino Campo Jr., 28, of Santa Ana, at Lion’s Park, Lt. Mark Manley said.
Santa Ana police had issued a warrant for Campo’s arrest related to the Jan. 27 incident.
A local park ranger had talked with Campo at Lion’s Park earlier in the week and after hearing there was a warrant out for his arrest, mentioned it to police. Officers went back to the park, found Campo and took him into custody. He’s being held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
