OCC to have 5K run

Orange Coast College will have its President’s Day 5K run on Feb. 15 at 9 a.m. The run is a fundraiser for the Pirates’ track and field program.

The race begins on the OCC track and it will run through campus and parking lots before ending in the football stadium.

Day of registration is $30 per individual and includes a T-shirt. Race day check in will take place in the Fitness Complex Gymnasium.

Alumni game coming

Newport Harbor High will have its annual alumni baseball game Feb. 20.

The game provides players of past years to get to play against the current players of their alma mater. The alumni game will feature a home-run derby and an alumni vs. varsity game on the Sailors’ refurbished baseball field.

The alumni will have batting practice and lunch starting at 11 a.m. The game is from 12:30-3 p.m. and then everyone can attend the after-party.

CdM alumni invited

The Corona del Mar High baseball program invites former Sea Kings to participate in its inaugural alumni game, scheduled Feb. 20.

The format will pit alums from 1999 or before against those who graduated from 2000 through 2009.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. with a barbeque being hosted by CdM boosters.
