Two added to foundation’s board of trustees

The Laguna Beach Community Foundation Trustees have two new members: Lyons Brown and Don Clurman.
“Don and Lyons bring an extensive layer of professionalism and vital nonprofit experience to the community foundation leadership,” President Laura Tarbox stated in her recent message to the board.
Brown has lived in Laguna Beach with his family since 1995. He is chief executive of Altamar Brands LLC, and has nonprofit experience as treasurer of the W. L. Lyons Brown Foundation, and as past president of the Board of Trustees for St. Margaret Episcopal School, director of the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and board member of the J. B. Speed Museum of Art, according to the foundation.
Clurman has lived in Laguna Beach since 1974 and is co-founder and managing member of Spectrum Communities LLC, a real estate and investment company in Southern California. Since 1994 he has served as a board member and supporter of Challenge Aspen, a national charitable organization that provides recreational opportunities for challenged individuals and disabled American veterans.
Laguna Beach Community Foundation is a 501(c )(3) exempt organization dedicated to encouraging philanthropy through its charitable organizations and residents.
