Put A Snuggie On:

They are blankets with arms, and they will be taking over Main Street on Saturday night during a Snuggie Pub Crawl.

Partygoers will slip on the blankets with long-sleeved arm holes for a night of drinking, fun and music in five downtown locations.

“It’s definitely just a fun time,” said Josh Cottrill, event coordinator with ibookgigs.

Snuggie devotees will drink their way through the Beachfront 301 Bar and Grill, Sharkeez, Perqs Nite Club and Sports Bar, Crabby’s Boat House and finally the Black Bull Chop House.

Cottrill said the restaurants and bars will offer discounted food and drinks at each stop, and the Black Bull Chop House is offering free mechanical bull rides.

Several places will be offering $2 beers, Sharkeez is offering $4 SKYY Red Bulls (the popular energy drink mixed with SKYY Vodka), and Black Bull is offering half off its pizzas and 50-cent wings.

About 130 people have already preregistered. There is a $10 cover charge to participate. Registration starts at the Beachfront from 3 to 5 p.m., but preregistering online is encouraged. To register, go to www.ibookgigs.com.
