Deadline for bids on OC Fairgrounds extended

Friday’s 5 p.m. deadline for prospective buyers to submit their bids on the Orange County Fairgrounds has been extended to the same hour on Monday, Jan. 11, according to the Website of the Department of General Services, the state agency tasked with selling off the 150-acre property in Costa Mesa.

No reason was given for the extension. The department’s offices in Sacramento were closed on Friday, the original deadline for submitting initial bids on the fairgrounds, because of a state government furlough day ordered by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
