Great Decisions discussions to begin
Great Decisions discussions will be held for eight weeks beginning in January at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
Great Decisions is a program of the Foreign Policy Assn., and is co-sponsored in Laguna Beach by the League of Women Voters and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. The discussions invite citizens to be involved in deciding how some of the world’s greatest challenges can be met, according to a news release. Every year eight topics are chosen by the Foreign Policy Assn., and a briefing book provides background, facts, present and future policy options, and analyses to help participants assess those challenges.
In Laguna Beach, participants can attend either an afternoon or an evening session. The afternoon group meets at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, beginning Jan. 26, and continuing for eight consecutive weeks. The evening group meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays, beginning Jan. 19.
The sessions are open to all who are interested in gaining a better understanding of global topics affecting America’s role in the world. For more information, call Jean Raun at (949) 494-2247.
