Fountain Valley P.D. to check drivers
The Fountain Valley Police Department is expected to hold a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint tonight.
Police will be checking driver’s licenses and for people driving under the influence from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. in the southbound lane on Harbor Boulevard, north of Edinger Avenue, officials said.
The check is an effort by the police to reduce the number of people injured or killed in alcohol-related crashes, according to the department.
During the check hours, police are expected to check every driver, and anyone found under the influence will be arrested, officials said.
