SANTA ANA — Junior Alex Morton had 19 points and 13 rebounds and sophomore Kasey Thompson had 14 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Sailors in the first round of pool play Wednesday at the Segerstrom Tournament at Segerstrom High.

Morton hit two free throws with 30 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

Mandy Legault had eight points and seven rebounds. Mimi Gibson had five rebounds for the Tars, who improved to 5-2.
