Pet Of the Week

Fluffy-Bum
Some Daily Pilot readers may remember that Community Animal Network was searching for a friend for Andy, who was 2 weeks old when he was rescued.
The network was delighted that the long-hair gray Persian-look kitten called Fluffy-Bum joined Orphan Andy’s family.
He was found abandoned in a box and is just the right age to become Andy’s friend.
Raising kittens to be well-adjusted and pet-quality is the network’s goal. Kittens raised alone can stalk, bite and scratch the caregiver’s ankles.
It seems like harmless fun when kittens are tiny and cute, but as they grow up their human playmates often complain of bleeding bite marks and scratches on their legs.
Fluffy-Bum and the once “Orphan Andy” bounce all over the house together having fun.
The network is accepting applications for the pair of kittens that should be ready for adoption close to the Christmas holiday.
Call (949) 759-3646 to receive an application to adopt.
Meet cats and kittens for adoption from noon to 4 p.m. each weekend at Fashion Island, sponsored by Russo’s Pet Experience.
