Burglary suspect, 18, is due in court
A North Hollywood man is scheduled to appear in court today on charges that he was the third man who went on a tear through Newport Beach last week, burglarizing 13 vehicles in one night.
Paul Isaac Manson, 18, was arrested on suspicion of burglary by Newport Beach police Monday after officers called him in for an interview, said Sgt. Evan Sailor.
Police said Manson helped Jacob Christopher Ross, 18, and Nathan Thomas Crewdson, 23, both of North Hollywood, break into 13 vehicles Nov. 23 in the Cameo Highlands neighborhood, in Newport Beach.
Ross pleaded not guilty to seven counts of second-degree burglary and three counts of petty theft. He’s being held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
Crewdson is scheduled to be arraigned on the same charges Jan. 11.
He posted $20,000 bail the day he was arrested. He and Ross were arrested in the neighborhood of the burglaries about 4:30 a.m.
Manson, who is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, will be charged at his court appearance.
