Senior center to show free screening of ‘Star Trek’

The Michael E. Rodgers Seniors’ Center is going into deep space with its afternoon movie series.

The center’s free Friday Afternoon at the Movies is showing “Star Trek” starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Bruce Greenwood and Eric Bana.

Moviegoers can munch on free popcorn as they enjoy the feature. The program is sponsored by the Huntington Beach Council on Aging.

The movie begins at 12:30 p.m. at 1706 Orange Ave. There will be no movie Nov. 27 because of Thanksgiving. For more information, call (714) 536-9387.
